Program Description

The Fulbright Specialist Program (FSP), is a short-term exchange, implemented by the cooperating organization World Learning, provides highly qualified U.S. academics and U.S. professionals whose credentials and experience are at the faculty or full professional level with an opportunity to share their expertise by carrying out projects requested by host institutions abroad.

Project Timeframe

The length of a Fulbright Specialist project must be a minimum of 14 days and a maximum of 42 days, including travel days and weekends.

Application date

At leat 3 months before the exchange.

• Business Administration and Job Creation.
• Cyber Security and IT.
• Media Literacy/Countering Disinformation.
• Public Administration.
• Natural Disaster Response.
• Science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).  

Activities to Develop in the Host Institution

Project activities may include, but are not limited to: 

• Teaching or training
• Developing curricula or teaching/educational materials
• Institutional planning
• Building capacity of faculty, administrators, or staff
• Delivering seminars or academic courses
• Conducting needs assessments for programs or institutions.

Program Costs

A funds tEChe Specialists’ roundtrip international travel costs (including flight and $100 transit allowance from the U.S. to the host institution) and a daily honorarium of $200 per day.  The host institution can offer a benefit in-kind of transport, lodging and feeding.
